Diabetes is a complicated, chronic condition that affects all aspects of daily life and is a increasingly serious public health issue.It is the fifth leading killer of Americans, but fewer than 10 percent of patients get all the care they need.

A support group is very helpful for some diabetics who find it difficult tocope with the daily monitoring of blood glucose, diet restrictions, the schedule of exercise, etc. This group offers the personal support often needed to deal effectively with this disease, and it is a resource for general information, newest research results, diet modifications that are particularly helpful, sharing individual experiences, and the like.

The group will explores the Christian response to serious illness.
