The Parish of the Ascension and Saint Agnes, affirming its faith in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, as declared in holy tradition and the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, identifies itself as a congregation in the One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church, in the Anglican Communion, and a parish in union with the Episcopal Church in the United States.
The parish has become nationally known for the beauty of its music and liturgy and for its sound Gospel preaching. It serves as a home away from home for many traditional Anglicans in the Episcopal Church of the USA, and as a link in the chain of parishes that adhere to traditional Anglo-Catholic faith and practice.

WE HOPE YOU WILL VISIT US. All are welcome. The Church of the Ascension and Saint Agnes is located in downtown Washington at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and 12th Street, N.W.
By Metrorail
The closest Metro subway stops are Metro Center Station and McPherson Square Station.
FROM METRO CENTER: Leave the station from the exit at 12th and G Streets, NW. Walk five blocks north up 12th Street to Massachusetts Avenue.
FROM McPHERSON SQUARE: Leave the station from the exit at 14th and I Streets. Walk east across 14th Street, diagonally across Franklin Square, and north along the east side of 13th Street. Follow 13th street two blocks to Massachusetts Avenue. Cross Massachusetts avenue and turn right on Massachusetts Avenue. The church is located at the eastern end of the block on the corner with 12th Street.
Parking
STREET PARKING is limited along Massachusetts Avenue, 12th Street, and other nearby streets.
OFF-STREET PARKING is available on the Interpark Parking Lot at 1335 L Street, NW, located on the north side of L St. between 13th and 14th Streets. Parking is also available at the New City Center Parking Lot bounded by 9th, H, and 11th Streets and New York Avenue.
